MIZ Coffee Table
The influence behind the development of MIZ as a piece of furniture began with the thought of simple two dimensional shapes, which upon manipulation could be transformed into unique, complex, three dimensional objects.
MIZ is created by bending and intersecting two triangular sheets of aluminium, the sole material utilised, generating its sophisticated and complex shape. The unusual cavities present a different form and appearance from each perspective, strengthening the dynamic visual qualities of the piece. MIZ also reflects upon the state of design in contemporary society. It is simple, light, multi-purposeful, and possesses a lively, animated appearance. MIZ occupies very little space and can be placed individually, or in various arrangements and combinations.
