The goal with Stool 60 was to create a piece of furniture that was as beautiful as it was versatile. The inspiration for the work came from my appreciation of ancient Middle Eastern architecture, where geometric patterns commonly featured as part of the decorative design. Stool 60 won the award for ‘Best concept design’ at the Edge Design and Innovation exhibition in 2006.
Stool 60 was designed to be used in almost any environment. It may be arranged singularly, or in various combinations and patterns due to the smart geometry of the design. Regardless of whether space is limited or plentiful, Stool 60’s combinations make it suitable for any living condition, as it can be stacked and easily packed away to maintain space. Stool 60 presents a visual joy, even while waiting to be used.
